Top 5 Repercussions of Not Getting Enough Water

Have you imagined yourself surviving a day without drinking any form of liquid? Well, it is indeed possible for you to survive if you don’t drink water for a couple of days. However, if you don’t drink straight in one week, it will gradually alter the normal metabolisms of your body.

The following are some of the possible adverse effects once you abstain from drinking in an extended period of time.

  • Destroys the Tissues and Organs.
Not all are aware that the majority of the organs of the body is protected by liquid. Your brain, ligaments, tendons, and marrows have some water-based buffers that keep these vital organs function normally.
  • Digestion Problem.
Another worst-case scenario, once your body is drained, is that you will have some difficulty in defecation. This is because the enzymes that help in the breaking down of foods are mostly water-based. In fact, by the time that you take the food inside your mouth, water immediately helps you through the process called mechanical digestion.
  • Toxins Haven.
If you don’t drink, you will become a favorite hub for toxins soon. Remember that water is the primary element that humans use to expel toxins. Just try to imagine doing strenuous activities, and yet your body cannot produce sweat, this will definitely poison your body.
  • Succumbed by Heat.
Any form of liquid also helps you balance your temperature. Drinking at least two liters of water is enough to maintain homeostasis between the temperature of your body and the environment.
  • Ugly Skin.
If you don’t want to have dull skin, make sure you hydrate yourself more often. Take note that once you go outside, there are lots of factors that may kill your dermal tissues. Among the prevalent reasons why people get ugly skin is too much exposure to the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays. Once you drink a lot of water, you’ll replenish the water that escaped from your pores.
